The IHRC Geneva (Africa) successfully organized this year’s National Youth Day in Cameroon, held under the theme “Youth, maturity, responsibility for the consolidation of peace, security, economic growth, and the democratic process.” This celebration marked the 59th edition of the youth festival in Cameroon.
In a significant development, the office of the IHRC Geneva, Head of Delegation (Africa), His Excellency, Amb. Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure, has reviewed a comprehensive report on the National Youth Day event in Cameroon. The report, submitted by the Chief of Education for Africa and Education Transformation Lead, Mr. Belbara Domsala, highlighted the success of the event, which brought together students from various schools, including the bilingual primary school of Fidma, the public school of Kaoya, the public school of Ourodawadi, and the public school of Sao Asta.

Amb. Dr. Ahure has instructed the IHRC main Africa Secretariat Administrator/Coordinator, Amb. Gen. Godwin Ndifor, to ensure effective collaboration and strategic alignment with the participating schools. This move aims to promote sustainable partnerships and enhance the impact of future events.
In a swift response, Amb. Gen. Ndifor praised the report’s detailed documentation and emphasized the importance of making the National Youth Day event celebration by the IHRC Geneva an annual occurrence. This endorsement underscores the IHRC’s commitment to empowering young people and promoting peace, security, economic growth, and democratic processes in Africa.
